Turning Hobby into Business

I am Aiman, a 25-year old fresh graduate from Malaysia, seeking a helping hand to aid me in obtaining enough fund to kick-start my business. I am a man with passion that strongly believe that I can make use of my passion as a strong driving force to earn me a living.

A couple years back, I got myself immersed in the business of selling my homebred betta fish. Also known as the Siamese fighting fish, these beautiful fish is very popular here and the market is promising. I was still in my study years when i started the project of breeding and selling these betta fish, and realized that this business can be started with quite a reasonable sum of fund. However, it will require a big amount of space as each of this fish must sexed and all the males must be placed individually. A pair of betta fish will produce around 200+ fry at least hence will definitely require a large space to accommodate a proper farm. The farm will have to have a proper water storage tanks, a big tank for this matter as this betta fish requires frequent water change. I will also need space as to allow me to grow my own worm culture as food supply to the fish.

The worm culture mentioned above refers to Grindalworm culture and Microworm culture. Both are nutritious protein source for betta fish, both young and adults. Apart from selling Betta fish, I also sell started culture of these worms to other breeder through my Facebook page "BettaBuntal". Similarly, space is required to grow an adequate amount of worms to ensure continuous supply of food for the betta fish and spawns.

Apart from fishkeeping and breeding Betta fish, I also love ball pythons and have the dream to purchase a breeding pair and start to set up a breeding facility. Day by day, this reptile is drawing more attention and finding their way into the home of many new owners. Unlike fish, reptiles such as ball phyton is still a creature of nightmare for both of my parents. I had a pet ball python not long ago, which I had to sell to a new owner due to strong disapproval by both of my parents. Despite the disapproval, I still keep the dream of keeping and breeding Ball pythons.

Currently, my facebook page; BettaBuntal is not operating as much. As I am now staying with my parents and my 4 siblings, there is not much room for me to make worm cultures for sale, nor do I have space to breed Betta fish.

With the success of this fund raising, I will have enough capital to kick start my business of breeding and selling Betta fish, ball pythons and worms.

At this point of time, I am ready to embark on my journey to re-live my passion and turning this humble hobby of mine into a living. It is my dream to start up a business. I am experienced when it comes to Betta fish breeding and producing starter cultures of worms, and I have also found an experienced ball python breeder to guide me. Hence I really need your help to raise a fund to start up my business.
