Over a year ago my husband and I bought an old church with the vision to turn it into a home for ourselves and our four children aged 10 and under. Unfortunately, we underestimated the amount of work and money involved, and our renovation budget quickly got swallowed up. We try to do as much of the work ourselves, but we are still a long way off finishing, and would just like to have a warm, dry and comfortable home for our family. We are grateful for what we do have, and are proud of how much we have achieved, but with no funds left, the state of our home is: no internal linings, unfinished wiring, no vanity (just recently got a kitchen sink so I can do the dishes), no curtains, curtain tracks or carpet, no kitchen benches, leaking roof needing rescrewing, painting and new ridging, no decks or proper steps for entry. Although our children have been wonderful and adapted really well, it would be awesome to give them a finished home. Thanks.
