Turn a young families bad luck around! Will single mother and son get their wish for better life?

Back in 2012 started off as a normal year for Sarina started the year off with a new job everything looking up, a new beginning, so very exciting.

However things turned to worse in April 2012, Sarina was in a car accident, her car was sandwiched between 2 cars leaving her having to battle with on going health issues (concussion, amnesia, cracked/ bruised ribs, cuts, fractured teeth, permanent tissue damage to lower back, neck pain, nerve damage in legs), chronic pain, PTSD and frequent medical treatment. Her car was a complete write off and left her renting a bomb car to get around.

She didnt know it yet however it was just the start of her life spiraling out of control and seemed like she didnt have any luck on her side, more like a streak of BAD LUCK!!

Later that year, around August 2012, Sarina was working at her job managing fast food restaurant, got a nasty cut to her left forearm which caused her to contract cellulitis, in turn, out of work for a month. When she returned to work, she was to hand in work compensation form however was fired for been unwell! She is still waiting to be compensated.

The bad luck continued, almost a whole year Sarina wasnt able to find work and medical treatment was getting hard to pay for. In November 2013 it seemed her luck was to turn around, got married and had gotten a job, this didnt last long.

This was a false sense of joy she had experience, by 2014 she fell pregnant and was fired from job due to pregnancy . Sarina endured a lot of pain and complications through out her pregnancy. Bleeding for 3 weeks at the beginning, feared of misscarriage, constanted lower back pain (due to previous injury from car accident) baby pressed againt her spine/ nerves causing her to develop scaitatica in both legs. Weakening the legs, had to use walking aides through most of the pregnancy.

Not only that her marriage wasnt working out. Her husband had a darker side or his true colours appeared. He became obsessed in proving his wife wasnt pregnant even though she was.

He became controlling every aspect of of her life. She wasnt allowed to cook, eat, use the bathroom, go to her parents place or spend money unless he was there. She was lucky to get one meal a day she became a prisoner in her own home. He spread lies and rumours about Sarina to her friends, tried to spy on her when she went out/ stalked her and most of all Sarina was considered anorexic during pregnancy which was a very serious complication; On top of that depression.

May 2014, Sarina left her husband for her health and safety of herself and unborn child. She moved back to her parents place, where her parents helped her get back into good health for the baby.

However October 15th 2014, 11pm; her waters broke, Sarina was taken to the hospital where staff had misplaced her hospital records, therefore didnt get any of the birth plan she wanted.

Not only that, was mistreated by the staff, didnt have any consent forms signed and wasnt informed about anything that was going to happen to her. The following day Sarina got induced without her consent and wasnt given any option of pain relief or was even checked how far she was in active labour.

She was neglected, Sarina shouldve had her son at least 10hrs earlier than when she actually gave birth. The doctor incharge was furious at the midwifives for not taking care of Sarina. 00:18am 17 October 2014 Sarina gave birth to a beautiful boy 7pounds 2ounces 37wks, 3wks earlier than due date.

Sarina wasnt with her son for very long, Doctors was extremely worried, as she had lost almost 3L of blood! She was rushed into emergency theatre where it took 6hrs and 4bags of blood to stablise Sarina. Sarina and her son spent almost 2wks in hospital after having a natural birth ensuring mum and baby were well enough to return home.

She was quite anemic and her sons bilirubin levels were really high so he was on a billi-blanket uv light to help get rid of the bilirubin and had scans on his kidneys as he has excess fluid in the kidneys.

Just 8wks after her son was born, Sarina rushed him to the children's hospital where he was treated with a rare strain of bacterial meningitis. Sarina and her son spent some time / lived at the children's hospital while he was was been treated. Once her boy recovered doctors wasnt sure what damage if any to his brain. Because it was a rare strain of menningitis, he became part of a main case study.

From 2014 to present; Frequent check ups with a pediatric specialist, took up a lot of time and money to monitor her sons development mentally and physically.

After giving birth, Sarina had a suppressed immune system, was constantly getting sick through out 2015, and the stress of motherhood as well as on going health issues wasnt helping her financially and was taking a toll of her physically too!

Her estranged husband decided that he would add to her stress deciding to be part of her sons life when it suited him! He would see his son once in a blue-moon, refused to pay child support and only made things worse for Sarina as he managed to obtain all of Sarina's life savings which ment Sarina was struggling with her finances and wasnt able to give her son nothing but the best things in life or even the bare necessities. Made her feel like she failed as a mum.

By 2016, Sarina had an extremely bad oil burn on her forearm which needs a skin graft as well as various antibiotics as she is allergic to penicillin! Sarina and son havent had the easiest life, Sarina needs money to pay for the skin graft, ongoing medical treatment, able to pay for her sons check ups and so she can provide for her son the best she can!!

She also wants to make awareness of Domestic Volience/ Abuse, create a foundation for single struggling parents/ families and provide feminine hygiene to the homeless. Please help her and her son to have a better future!!
