TUMI’S PHOTOGRAPHY DREAM

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

I'm coming to you weary and defeated but I have not given up on my dream yet. I have always had an eye for the beauty in things and people which I thought wasonly a hobbie until I discovered that I can actually make a career out of it.

I have been trying to study but I hold a really unpopular opinion regarding the education system in South Africa when it comes to the more creative disciplines. I have been through 3 different universities dropping out of all three due to the feeling that my creativity was being stifled by a system I was trying to thrive in, but felt like it didn't want me to thrive.

I have been freelancing trying to get jobs shooting on iPhone and borrowing friends' cameras, however, this is unproffesional and people tend to pay very little to nothing for the services rendered.

My goal here, is to source the neccessary equipment needed to start a reputable photography and videography firm for young, non-graduates like myself and graduates who feel like the doors to the industry are always slamming in their faces. There are plenty of talented people like myself going through the same thing and I honestly just hope that whether I get this funding or not that we can continue to push on toward our dreams.

The funds will go towards specifically: 1x Professional DSLR Camera, 2x Lenses, 1x Flash attachment, a website design, 1x logo design, online advertising, 500x business cards and White paint for some studio space I found for cheap which just needs a repaint, a desk and chair, coffee table and a couch for guests and clients.
