Hi, my name is Ron, I am a veteran and I am a currently trying to finish my Ph.D. in Forensic Psychology at Walden University. I was lucky enough to work at John Hopkins for a couple of years as a computer analyst and had the rewarding job of upgrading computer software in all emergency rooms (hence the picture with the doctors’ garb on). I was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. and was a witness to the 2015 rioting that happened in the city. I was stuck in my car and unable to get to my home as thousands of looters and young people were destroying everything. It is a strange experience to be in this position, as I looked through my cracked windshield… I thought this is a mental health problem as well as a social issue, but I was helpless. This fortified my determination to finish getting my PhD. to somehow help even one person who needs help with mental, emotional, societal as well as economic help.

I currently am 1 year away from finishing my PhD and have run out of funding. I am $10,000 short of finishing my degree. Everyone!!! this is my dream to become a therapist to help people…I would do it for free if I could. I am the only person in my family that has finished college and I want to take it one step further. Please help me make my last year at Walden University a. reality. The money raised will only be spent on tuition for school. I understand that not everyone has the funds to donate to my campaign, but even a dollar helps me get closer to my destination. God Bless everyone and Thanks for allowing me to share my story.
