Trying to Stave Off Homelessness

My name is Donnia. I'm just a girl who's looking to make a better life for myself, so that I can one day pay it forward. I'll try to condense this as much as possible. I was a caretaker for my grandparents for about 15 years, up until the passing of my grandmother in 2015. Things went downhill swiftly from then til now, like an avalanche. I had a severe, rare reaction to anti-anxiety medication. Hyperthyroidism has caused me to lose 60 lbs, lose my hair, and caused a host of other personal health issues. I came close to dying because I couldn't find a doctor who would treat me properly. I was injured at work (cleaning houses) when a floor tile collapsed under me and I fell into the resulting hole up to my hip. I've been dealing with housing instability as well. I have had to move four times in the last year, one of which was in a shelter where I had a very frightening experience. I've been staying with a friend for the last six months, and I'm grateful, but she and her family are heavy cigarette smokers, which doesn't help my asthma and allergies, and there is a very bad mice infestation which she nor the landlord have handled. I am in constant pain, I'm rarely able to sleep or eat, and the stress of unfit living conditions is having an adverse affect on my health. I was able to find an apartment that I can afford, and I have a tentative arrangement with the landlord to sign the lease on 10/26, but I've been unable to raise all the finds for the move. The security deposit is $2925 ($95*3: first,last, and security). I'm not sure of the amounts of the utility deposits (electricity, gas, water) but I want to be prepared. I also have things that have been in storage in New Jersey that I'll need to retrieve. If/when I'm able to move into this apartment, it would change my life beyond belief. I could not only be comfortable, but I could register as a limited food establishment/cottage food business to pursue my professional passions of baking desserts and meal prep. I would also be able to host small concerts right in my living room. These things combined with my day job would help me to better my life tremendously.
