Trying to keep our head above water

Scott had a stroke April 24,2018. It was most scariest time for all who loves him. He is very lucky. Still has PT/Speach therapy to do but he's well on his way to recovering 100%. Gaining strength back onto his left side of his body everyday. He has a job that he worked for nearly 15yrs. The job is on hold, suspended until he gets okay from his doctor to return. Have no clue when that will be. He had to use all his vacation/sick time up so he was paid for that first week of missing work. Have filled out paperwork for EDD to start recieving some type of income. We are going on almost a month & still have not recieve disability payment. He is the head of house hold. The main provider for us (his family). You can imagine all the bills stacking up. We were very heartsick to learn most of these businesses only want their money. They dont give you a break because you had a stroke. Scott does not know Im setting this up for him as he would be embarrassed that if people knew what situation we are in. He's already going nuts not to be able to go back to work. I certainty dont need him all worked up & cause any more health scare by worrying how we are going to stay above water with all these living expenses that needs to be paid. I am doing everything I can to bring money home to my family. We both need help.We have a 20yr going to college. 17yrs old twins boy & girl that graduating from h.s. in June. 8yrs old dog name Buddy thats taking such good care of his daddy Scott
