Hello everyone,

Thank you for taking the time to look at and read this, my name is Jack and I am trying to joing the Australian Defence Foce as a Cavalrymen (The guys who drive the ASLAV, which is basically a light tank), I have recently done my Assessment day and passed my interview, medical and psych test with flying colours, I was even recommended by the Interviewer and Psych for the role of Cavalrymen, unforuntunately, I failed the dental check, which turns out to be a total of $6248.90 to fix, and I can not afford this in any reasonable time frame with life expensese and the like.. And to make matter's worse, the military only covers you if you had good teeth going in, and as I want to join as Full Time personel, they need to be at an above average level, and, me being an ex-DoCs foster kid, doesn't exactly mean I have even average teeth, so there is a lot of work to be done, root canals, fillings, crowns and some other words I am not quiet sure how to spell, my dentist knows my situation, as well as the tooth aches I have and has tried to help me out with this, but this was the best she could do to get me past the military check, hence why I have turned to this site in the hope that you people can help me reach my goal, and help me to defend you and Australia.

I have wanted to join the ADF (Australia Defence Force) for years, ever since before I was a cadet. My hopes through joining the army are to have a stable job, so I can support a family properly further down the road, and to protect my country and it's people. My main goals while in the military is to reach the rank of Warrant Officer C02, and to under take a university degree in either law or social economics at ADFA.

My reasons for joining as Cavalryman are to protect and serve my country and my people to my fullest abilities, and that they travel the globe the most, offering assistance to countries after natural disasters, oversea's training in different environments, combat missions, surveillance, they also offer new avenues in training such as mechanics and maintanence of the ASLAV, and let's be honest, who doesn't want a tank?

I understand that this isn't as worthy of your donations as other people on this website, and I am not trying to say I deserve it more, but what I can promise, is that if you help me reach this goal, even if it is only a 1$ donation, I will not stop giving my all in both my training and in my duties to protect this nation and it's people, I give my word that I will not fail Australia.
