Campaign Story
My wife and I are stuck in the Marshall Islands on a boat, we are desperately trying to get home to South Africa but we have had serious problems with the boat and now do not have the funds to Repair the boat or to keep ourselves alive for more than 8 weeks if that, it is a difficult situation to be in as the boat when repaired is worth in the region of $ 75,000 but until repaired is basically worthless, repairs needed are as follows, Excluding cosmetic repairs. Engine not working needs new injection pump ($4000), "new" second hand sails needed ( $1000) AIS VHF non functional ($400) cost of checking in and out of countries ( $500) food ($2000) Fuel ($ 1000)
It is absolutely imperative to get the engine repaired as our projected route from here(Marshall Islands) to South Africa is through some of the busiest sea lanes in the world and would be suicidal to attempt without an engine.
So here we are stuck between a rock and a hard place Please help!!!
