First of all, I would like to thank you for your attention, because without it my hope wouldn’t make much sense.

The story will touch my best friend who helped me to overcome the death of my foster parent in car crush and serious illness cause by the stress. He is the best person I ever knew. During the 2 years studying in boarding school, he was together with a wonderful girl from Costa Rica. When she came as a junior, he has already been in that school for one year. First time he saw her, was when the bus came to campus, bringing all the juniors, as he told me. All the seniors were meeting juniors and obviously he was there. She was one of the first people to leave the bus. She was super lost and scared. He ran to help her with her baggage, helped to find her room. Very fortunately, she lived on the same floor as him. They started actively talking since that day, not a lot, but regularly. Very soon he understood, that YES, THIS IS THAT GIRL, who he was telling me about 24/7.

However, being afraid to fail everything he spent one month of their precious time, trying to find braveness to get with her (I was always telling him to go for it) and would probably spent even more time, if luckily the fortune didn’t turn to him.

She was passionate about the arts and wanted to do theatre but had fear of going up on stages. One day he heard her say that she had interest for the subject and he was amazed since he always had a passion for theatre and have been doing it and enjoying all the time I know him (We are friends since early childhood). He was smart enough, to ask her if she wanted him to work with her after classes on developing her confidence and so they started going to the empty hall and practising on the stage. They kept talking for days during practises and one day they were practising a romantic dialogue between a couple and looked in each other eyes for a long time and forgot about the practice. He told me that as he saw her eyes he felt like his life was finally happy (a feeling he had never experienced at this level). And I understood, that damn, this is in love and I was and still am happy for him. He broke the pause and understood: “I feel ready now!” and told everything. How long he likes her, how he forgets about time being with her and life doesn’t really makes sense and isn’t as colorful without her. What followed was what made him realize how much he loved this girl and wanted to spend the whole life with her, she said, “You make me believe in myself! I feel complete when you are around me.” He decided to propose her to be his girlfriend after those words. Her answer was yes. It was the happiest moment of his life. I think it was his wisest decision, he will never regret about.

The graduation was the saddest moment. He has never seen her so sad and depressed, which made him feel helpless. And when he came back home, he was dead and empty inside, I’ve never seen him like that. Unfortunately, it was the time when he saw her the last time. Since that time 3 years passed, and they didn’t have the opportunity to meet, but they still managed to keep their relationship. I think it was the most difficult challenge, at least they’ve ever had, that they managed to complete.

This summer it will be her birthday, and his intention is to come to her and propose to be his wife and take her back to live with him, which they were discussing for a long time, but the problem is that he’s a poor european student, but she is living in Costa Rica, and to get there and back will cost him an enormous amount of money. He managed to save a sufficient sum of money for the wedding, in addition to his parents’ contribution, but there is no way he will get the money for the flights, until summer.

After long countings 2,500$ was the minimum amount I need to realize his dream, with some of my additions. I hope on your kindness and belief in real life. Promise I will send a card from CR, just write your address in comments
