Campaign Story
My name is Tristan Anderson. I am a 25 year old FtM trans* individual currently attending The school of the art institute in Chicago doing metal casting and fabrication work. I am trying to raise money to support my transition top surgery.
Through hard work I have put myself through almost 6 years of school as well as paying for my apartment and all the costs associated with being an independent. I am currently making just enough to pay the upkeep of my apartment and go to school. The operation is considered an elective procedure and is not covered by insurance so I have to pay out of pocket for the whole procedure.
I am not good at asking for help, especially when it is related to money but as recent events have shown me sometimes you need to put your pride aside. I would have to fly out of state for a week to have the surgery so costs include travel, hotel and food for myself and another person as am required to have someone take care of me during recovery. All money raised would go directly toward my top surgery, travel and hospital fees which total around $6,500. I would be Incredibly grateful for any and all donations for this life changing surgery.
