Hello everyone,

My name is Edgar and I would like to have a minute of your time to think together where the big companies that make games we want to love and enjoy are and where they could be.

As a person who was a gamer from the age of 5 I am have followed the gaming industry very closely, I am sure I'm not the only one who has noticed the horrible trends we see in the last decade of big triple A companies turn out favorite franchises into money sucking devices.

It seems creativity and the enjoyment of players is no longer a priority for these companies, the only objective is making money and the more the merrier. And while these companies have become big and their games have become better in recent years there has been a drift towards more mechanics in the game that value player addiction and value in terms of cash than the enjoyment said player can possibly have from the game said company made,

After seeing many unsatisfied customers of these companies like EA, Activision, Take2 and others I have decided that the best way to influence how these companies operate is for us the players having a say for these companies. Obviously we can say a lot by purchasing or not purchasing the games these companies make but I think the influence and the accountability that these companies should have towards their player base should start from the management of these companies.

And as long as these companies are run by bankers and people who are not gamers and have no concerns for these games as a form of entertainment the current trends will not change.

What am I offering?

I will be honest, this is just an experiment for me right now to see if people will come on board with this idea. What I am suggesting is that we the players buy stocks of these companies and hopefully become very large stock holders who will have a say in how these companies are run.

We will choose a representative to address our concerns in board meetings and other events at which these companies decide how to do their business. Hopefully, with enough support we can have a representative in each of these big companies (EA, Activision, Take2 and others) and point them in the right direction that will allow balance between making money from their products while making sure that the games are fun, respect the franchise they represent and are transparent with their player base whenever there major issues with a release.

TAA will be a non profit organization, any revenue generated by the stocks we buy will not go directly to anyone but instead will be used to promote transparency and good practices withing the gaming industry via other non profit organizations.

Thank you for reading and hopefully this idea will work out.

Obviously if this kicks off I will implement a system which will always report where the money was invested (into which company) and how these funds are used to make these companies more consumer friendly.

Want to help?

If you have experience in the stock market, business management, law, regulations and other aspects that might be helpful you are more than welcome to message me to help build up TAA
