Trip to the Vatican 2015

Hello there! My name is Maya and I am a junior in high school. I have been in the Cincinnati Children's Choir for 5 years now. I am in the most advanced group, Bel Canto, and we've received an invitation to sing mass on July 5th 2015 (2-11) at the Vatican in Rome and also to represent the USA at the World Expo in Milan! In CCC we earned a Gold Medal during the 2012 World Choir Games, too! This event was held in our hometown, Cincinnati, OH. In Bel Canto we are the only group out of many others that travel around the world. This specific tour is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I am doing everything in my power to be able to go. . The cost is $4,345 and this is a larger amount of money than any other tour that I've been on. Money has always been tight and my mom has to work 4 jobs and I work one during the school year. Other experiences I have had with my choir is singing at Carnegie Hall in NYC in March of 2012! My Parish came through for me for that trip by putting up donations. I sing at the 10:30 masses every Sunday, and I love how the church is like a second family to me. Now, I want to try and find a different way to come up with the cost. This past June was another trip, unfortunately I was unable to go because of the cost. This was the International Children’s Choir Festival in Beijing China. This trip to sing at the Vatican for Pope Francis would be a dream come true and a very spiritual opportunity. If you have any questions, PLEASE feel free to ask. Thank you all so much.
