Hello! This is me, my mom, and my lil' nephew. My mother works very hard everyday, working 3 jobs to support me and my siblings. My mother used to have a very nice life travelling and working one well-paid job instead of 3. After my parents divorce and various court trials, her life turned upside down and me, my mom, brother, sister, and nephew (also my 2 cats Dallas and Vegas) had to move from a middle class life in a big house, to living in an apartment with only one room. She has had depression ever since the divorce happened (about 7 years ago) and I just want to make her happy again. I've gotten a job to help support her and save up for the trip, but it's been very hard because I am allowed to only work 10 hours a week, which is making the saving very slow. But that aside, I mentioned before that my mother used to travel. And the one place she loved the most was India. She lived and studied there for many months, and had a dream to go back to show me what it was like. She telIs me stories about India almost everyday, saying that there were huge cockroaches on the walls, and cows and chickens roaming freely, and that she was offered hot chai between classes despite it being very hot outside, and that even though the local people in the village she lived in didn't really have anything, they still gave and offered things generously. I didn't really want to resort to going to a funding website because I believe that many other people deserve it more than I do, but I don't know another way to help my mom's dream come true. I want to make a better life for her, because she is my everything, so I appreciate any help that I can get. Thank you so much :)
It's only me and my mother going because a family trip would simply be too expensive. In addition, I would love to go to Pondicherry (also known as Puducherry), India because I read about that location in "Life of Pi" by Yann Martel (my favorite book), and I think my mother would love to see the city. The $2000 is for tickets, and if we have leftovers then it will also be for food. Again, thank you so much for reading all of this, have a great day!
