Trial to Testimony #FightCancer

January 29, 2019. I will never forget that day. It was the day when I received my final diagnosis. I have Leiomyosarcoma (cancer of smooth muscle tissue). Without any symptoms, whatsoever, it has already metastasized to both lungs. Stage 4.

For a moment, I felt like my life was shattered. But I know that no matter how scary the Big C is, my God is bigger. He is far greater.

In the past 2 years, I’ve had surgeries, a total of 9 cycles of intravenous chemo, 33 sessions of radiotherapy, a year and a half of oral chemo, and countless visits to doctors. I guess my God is that proud of me. He boasts that His child can handle more and can continue to have faith in Him.

Fast forward to today, in spite of the pandemic, God allowed me to travel back to Malta and return to work. Slowly getting back to my feet. But the fact that I still have these metastatic cancer cells remain. I need to undergo another round of chemotherapy. I’m not scared... I’m confident. I know I can take the effects of the medicine in my body. But the great challenge today is on our finances. The medicine will cost around EUR9,000 every 21 days. The Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation committed to shoulder a generous portion of the costs (Big big thanks to this org and all the people supporting it!). However, the amount that we still need to pay is substantial. I do not know how many cycles I will need and for how long, but I have faith that I will be healed.

With a humble heart, I hope and pray that God will use you to get me through my treatment. I know that my story is far from over. This trial will turn into an awesome testimony. I sincerely believe that.
