My baby has to get surgery again

His incision from his surgery looks beautiful.

You can see in the pictures his scar from the first surgery he had when he was 6 and the scar from his most recent.

What a strong, amazing boy he is.

He survived something so scary and he's in such good spirits about it.

He had his surgery 6 days ago and it's beautiful to see his improvements.

Hes been in and out of pain and has been having neck muscle spasms where they had to cut the muscles for surgery. So I've massaged it and got some medicine called in from the doctor for it.

Hes been tired a lot and very hungry (the steroid He's on increases his appetite)

He woke up crying this morning and worried about the future, he knows he may need to get surgery to get a port put in, he doesn't like thinking of and worrying about what the future looks like. I reminded him to come back to the present, breathe and remember he's still healing but he's doing amazing! I told him to be proud of himself and all he's accomplished sense surgery. He explained to me that at night before he sleeps he meditates and can see colors, the red color is all of his worrys, fears, and anger. Then the blue color he sees is all the positive things he's experiencing and the things he loves and is happy about. He said these colors mix together until there's just blue. He told me how grateful he is for me and how we get time together. He reminded me to take care of myself. This conversation we had was so inspiring for me.
