Trend Micro Virtual Everest Challenge- Sub Saharan Africa

As COVID-19 continues to sweep across the world, non-profit organizations are left with little choice but to cancel their fundraising events. Food banks face increasing demand but don’t have enough food. Animal shelters are filled to the brim with no adoption drives in sight. During this time of crisis, we need to do our part to give back to the community. We’re in this together and we’ll get through it together.

To help raise funds, our Trend Micro Sub Saharan Africa team will be virtually climbing Mount Everest (8848 meters in height) starting May 13. To reach the summit, we will be tackling 45 flights of stairs (or hiking the equivalent) each day. That is a total of 3,160 flights of stairs with a target of completion in 70 days!

Trend Micro appeals to you to consider sponsoring ZAR100 per 1000 meters of vertical height up to a maximum of 8848 meters. Trend SSA is supporting Joint Aid Management (JAM) SA. Every donation helps and makes a significant impact to the health and well being of those living in vulnerable communities across South Africa. This includes the distribution of essential food supplies and hygiene products, along with awareness and practical training on sanitation and hand-washing practices to curb the spread of the Corona Virus.
