Tremendous Terri

As most all of us know Terri suffered a stroke last year and has been fighting hard to not only recover but also to get her life back to some sort of normalcy. We all know that this type of unfortunate medical event can not only cause a great emotional strain on a family but also a great financial strain with all of the newfound needs and expenses that arise. Terri is working hard towards her recovery but with such a tragic event comes many challenges and struggles that could not have been planned for. Mike and Terri have been trying to battle these needs alone since these expenses are not going to be covered under insurance. The family has some real needs that we could help meet if each of us just donates something. The family home is in desperate need of modifications so that it is not only handicap accessible and safe for Terri but will also help Mike in the cares that she requires. These modifications are quite costly but become a necessity after such a life altering event. Terri is in dire need of a power chair so that she could not only enjoy some of the independence that she loved so dearly but also to be able to make it to necessary doctors appointments and therapies. This chair would be a blessing to not only her but to Mike and the boys as well. It would take some of the pressure of cares off of Mike and make it easier for her to attend the boys games and everyday activities. Unfortunately, insurance will not help with these costs so these will be expenses that will burden and further stress the family. These expenses along with the need of personal aides so that Mike can work without having to worry for Terri's needs and the mounting medical bills can be devastating to families and the stress can impede recovery. It is my hope that we, as Terri's family and friends, can be a blessing to Terri in her time of need. Terri has gone above and beyond for many of us in our time of need and now it is our turn to show her how much we love and appreciate her.

Terri and Mike have faced these circumstances with such an admirable fight and now we can fight with them. Donating ANY amount can help our dear friends and family to know they don't fight alone and help them to enjoy some ease in daily cares with the right equipment.
