Please help this talented young man on his journey through the world of USA Junior Olympic Gymnastics. Gymnastics shouldn't be only for the RICH. It is a shame when talented young men and women find it very difficult to nearly impossible to participate in a sport because of the price tag that is attached to it.
We have struggled for the past 2 years putting our son through the USA Gymnastics program. 3 years ago it started out as a small 1 hour class a week, a couple hundred for the first year . but within WEEKS his talent shown through and he was moved up and up through the levels. Only 7 months after ever stepping foot in a gym, he was invited to join the boys level 5 team. His first competition year was 2010 and he has excelorated in the sport of Mens Gymnastics ever since. He was a quiet child with a somewhat low selfesteem before he started gymnastics. Now he is confident and strong and his work ethic is amazing. He not only works out at the gym for about 17 hours PER WEEK - but he also has about 10 to 15 hours of home work (very difficult teachers this year) every week. He has consistantly earned strait A's in his subjects and has become such a bright light of encouragement to those around him. If we had the money to afford to send him, we wouldn't be here humbling ourselves to you. But we do not, Every year the time at the gym, the tuition, meet fees and travel expenses increase - especially NOW since he has entered into the level where he can qualify for the USA Gymnastics National competitions. From here on out, the estimated cost per year will be about $8000 (EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS) annually. It Costs SOOOO MUCH MONEY to send a child to gym AND pay the Travel expenses when they are talented. We can't do this alone. Please help make this apriring athlete's dream come true.
GYMNASTICS is his calling. He LOVES IT SO MUCH!! This is what he will be basing his future on. He dreams of being an orthopedic doctor specializing in sports injuries and someday owning his own gym. (and making it an affordable thing for those who need it - as HE Says) He's got such a heart of love, generosity and kindness.
Please help us make Trav's Dreams come true... help us keep him in Gym and send him to the Junior Olympic Nationals every year for the next SIX years. (after that - he will be onto college - Hopefully with a Scholarship)
Thank you for your kind consideration.
