Travelin Ben’s bicycle tour

Hello friends known and uknown. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I have spent the last four years devoted to traveling. I have hitch hiked, bicycled, bussed and ride shared a good chunk of this fine country and have had some incredibly awe inspiring experiences! Last year I rode a bicycle 1,000 miles down the west coast with full intentions of making it to San Diego and then heading east to Florida. However, my adventure was tragically cut short when I was hit by a van in Morro Bay, CA. Not only was my bicycle damaged beyond repair, my spine was also fractured in two places. Needless to say, I missed my weather window. During my adventures I have encountered so much generosity, love and support and I am reaching out to the universe again to get a little more. You see, this summer I am riding a bicycle from Washington to Maine on the first leg of my life's goal which is to literally ride a bicycle around the world! The most exciting part for me is that I will be writing a memoir/journal along the way! $500 is my extremely conservative estimate to get a new bicycle and touring gear. I am no stranger to doing this on the cheap, but I would like to have a reliable steed. Thank you so much for your time and support.
