I have spent my entire life sitting in a classroom. I, as many others, have been caught in the perpetual habit of saying "one day." In January that "one day" will begin. I'm not asking for much because I am confident I can see a lot with little funds. My goal is to start in Japan and work my way South and then West. I am hoping this experience will allow me to see the world in a different light than CNN and NBC portray.  I am sick of seeing the world portrayed so negatively, and want to see first hand the diversity and beauty of the world and its people. I am such a small, tiny, piece of this world, and I wake up every morning ready to see more of it. About Me: I have always wanted to travel the world. In fact, after high school I applied for the Peace Corps. I was not accepted (obviously due to having no degree and little life experience). This motivated me to obtain a college degree- I thought Pre-Medicine would work just fine. Less than a week after graduating from my undergraduate studies I began graduate school. After that, another masters degree. Afterwards I spent some time in Uganda and Kenya providing medical care. I now work in Internal Medicine/Family Practice in a lower income area with a largely Spanish speaking population. I have officially given my work my notice. On January 9 I will have quit my job to travel the world. A one way ticket to Japan is already booked.
