The concept I have developed is a new internet travel website that allows the user to enter the dollar amount they wish to spend on a trip and then to narrow down the options, like destination, transportation, and accommodations, so they can plan a trip that is both affordable and fun. I have been designing and documenting this concept for quite some time. I have several “mock-up” drawings of webpages for this site, which have provided the creator with a sense of how the website will work once brought into production. This is beneficial for making any necessary modifications and revisions for improvements; thus promoting a more satisfactory and overall accommodating product. As currently designed in the technical drawings, the website has unique features not presently available in the marketplace. Although the system has not yet been designed and is still in the developmental stages, an explanation of possible operation is as follows: Travel Butler is an intriguing new way to plan a vacation, especially for those who have budget limitations. Rather than planning a trip to an expensive destination and having to skimp on meals and accommodations, users of this website will be able to plan dream vacations that fit easily within their budgets. The first parameter entered is the dollar amount budgeted for the trip. The user can then enter various options, like dates, desired destination, modes of transportation, and choice of accommodations. After completing this step, the user will be presented with affordable options that best meet the criteria entered. Ideas about more affordable destinations, different means of transportation or less-expensive accommodations will be presented. The user can then make educated decisions, knowing all the affordable options, pertaining to the trip. By not entering any criteria other than the dollar amount, the user will be presented with a wide variety of potential trips. They will be able chose where they want to go without having a pre-determined destination in mind. Those who do not care where they go when they wish to get away for a few days will be able to select a radius, to increase or decrease the general vicinity, to find a fun, new places to visit.
