TRAP, NEUTER AND RELEASE OF CATS TRYING TO SURVIVE ON THE STREETS

Its that time of year again WE DREAD!! Female cats on the streets getting pregnant and so many kittens land up suffering and dying because of lack of food and disease, traffic and cruelty. Often mums die crossing roads to find food for their babies, many mums die of starvation themselves. Boy cats going crazy to mate and seeing so many dead cats on the roads, it is just sickening and heartbreaking. All year, every year we try to go to colonies/areas to trap and neuter as many cats as possible. We release them back to where they came from and give food regularly. While they are at the vets to be neutered they also get a full health check, given any necessary operations/treatments needed ie bad teeth removal, ear mites etc. We also flea and worm treat them before releasing back to the colony. If for any reason they are too ill and need further treatment ie flu, injury etc we take to our home and rehabilitate. But we don't put back to the streets after this because they have become reliant on us so we put them up for adoption.

We have been neutering in our local village, hotel in Limassol, Pissouri, Limassol General hospital and many other places around Cyprus. We are currently funding a TNR group in Paphos to operate a few areas. So we need to raise funds URGENTLY. We have been using our own personal funds sometimes for this but cannot continue so have to fundraise.

PLEASE CONSIDER DOING FUNDRAISING TO HELP US: Sell unwanted items on Ebay other other selling sites, Raffles, wine and cheese nights with entry fee, Coffee/tea and cake mornings, do a sponsorship like running or walking a distance, shaving your hair off, going without chocolate for a month or missing that coffee you buy from the shop on the way to work every day and asking others to do it. There are many easy and fun ways to raise money.
