TRANSPORTATION NEEDED

I am in need of a car. From July 2013 to August 2014 I managed to save up $7,860.00 for a car. On August 9th of 2014, our house was flooded and we were moved into a hotel for 3 months then an apartment for 2 months. My bedroom and the master bedroom were the only rooms that were not affected by water damage. Long story short, In September of 2014 I was laid off due to no transportation to work. The company I was working for was in the same town where I lived and the hotel we were sent to was in another city about 15 miles away. with no bus service to get me to work by 7:00 AM. In September, when I was told I was going to be laid off due to not being able to get to work, I figured I would use what money I had saved up and buy a car. I was hoping to have a total of 10,000.00 saved up to buy a car but I needed to get something immediately and could not wait. Long story short, after not being able to get into our house because of the asbestos, I finally got in only to find out that my room had been broken into and my money which was in my closet was taken and all that was left was the envelope the money was in. Since the money was gone I was not able to get a car and I was laid off. Since then I have found a new job and I travel to and from work on the bus system. This is a 3.5 hour round trip journey for me. I have also taken a job that pays me far less than what I am used to making. In order for me to get a job in Logistics, I need to travel 30 miles from where I live and I need a car to do so. I have managed to save up 1,200.00 in the last 6 months and that is not a lot but again, I do not make a lot. I volunteer my time and cook to help feed the homeless and I am involved in church and I am a good person who has made some dumb choices in the past but for the past 2 years I have been on the right path. I guess I am a little pessimistic about all this but I believe there are some good people out there and maybe some of them just may find it in their heart to help someone out. I was once in a position to help people out and I did, but 6 years ago, I took a wrong turn and it caused me a lot of problems. I lost a Lexus, a good job and my dignity. I am looking to get back on track and become a productive individual once again and give back to society through feeding the homeless and volunteer work.
