Campaign Story
I would like to purchase a 19 seater public service van, a toyota hiace 9l. Currently, the kenyan transport industry is a potential business venture with a vast capability of expansion. Through this crowdfunding I would like to add to my two-year savings of $10,000 so that I can venture into the business....
To account for the money here is the rough quotation/estimate:
1. Cost of empty van tax inclusive,....@29,000.
2. Cost of fixing seats, labour inclusive... $1,200.
3.Legal costs.... $3000
4. Cost of comprehensive insurance....$1500.
5. Savings and credit cooperative organisation(SACCO)....$2500
6.First vehicle maintenance costs e.g tyres, standard paint and service etc.....$1000
Total amount....$38,200.
The deficit is to be used as emergency money and other unseen legal transactions.
The public service van(matatu as known in kenya) is expected to cash in $60 as profit per day.
This translates to a total profit of $21,900 in a period of 365 days.
This amount of money is enough financial support for me and my family.
I will be able to pay school fee, house rent, medical bills, buy food and meet other expenses.
I will also be able to expand the business through the savings. With time I will also be able to fund other people's project in the community as part of giving back to the community
