Transplant Love for Butchay

This fundraise is for Ms. Marjorie Veronica "Butchay" Aguilar. She is a very happy person, always smiling, ever-optimistic, gentle and kind, and generous despite her circumstances. She always finds a way to make time for people, and is constantly putting others’ needs before her.

But life is never as sweet without the sour. Five years ago, she was diagnosed with Glomerulonephritis, it's a chronic kidney disease. Both of her kidneys were only functioning at 20% that's when she had to undergo medication of steroids for almost 2 years. After which, her kidneys recovered and was advised to stop medication as well. But October last year, she felt a severe stomach pains which was later diagnosed as Diverticulitis, requiring her to go through dialysis treatment three times per week for four hours at a time. The treatment helps her kidneys to function properly but this is not sustainable over time.

The doctors already advised that the best way to fight this disease is for her to have a kidney transplant to give her more freedom and the ability to live longer, healthier and to enjoy living a normal life.
