I, Dr Jason Meyer have been placed in the rural Transkei of South Africa for my veterinary compulsory community service year. I provide basic primary animal health care to thousands of animals based in the rural areas. This ranges from cattle, sheep, goats, horses, pigs, dogs and cats. My aim is to provide treatment and advice to rural farmers and treat and sterilise as many privately owned and stray animals that I can get my hands on.
There is a massive need for veterinary care in the Transkei but I am in desperate need of funds in order to purchase medicine and veterinary drugs in order for me to provide any help to the animals of the Transkei as I have been given next to nothing to work with at my post.
My passion is animals and veterinary and there is so much potential for me to help down in the Transkei.
Please help fund me in order to purchase much needed veterinary medicines and equipment in which I will be able to help treat thousands of animals and provide the much needed care in the rural Transkei.
