Transgender Hope and Rescue

     My name is Carolyn and I am trying to raise money on behalf of my transgendered partner P.J. for double mastectomy surgery. WHY WE NEED YOUR  SUPPORT     P.J. tried to commit suicide last night. He is 48 years old and has been staying a female for the sake of God, his parents and me. He grew up with three brothers, one of whom abused him relentlessly, with parents that were deaf to the pleas for help. Having a sister who died of sids, P.J. (Paula) felt a responsibility to remain a girl for the sake of her mother. P.J. now suffers from PTSD, anxiety and schizo-effective disorder. After telling his family that he is transgendered his mom said she doesn't want an "it" for a daughter. Then the next week she lost his job of 10 years as a peer support specialist in the psychiatric ER at the hospital. Always putting himself last finally caught up with him and I almost lost my best friend and partner of 18 years. And I may still if we can't find help. WHAT WILL BE THE RESULTS/PAYING IT FORWARD     This surgery will literally save P.J.'s life.  He is currently attending the Chaplaincy Institute of Maine on a full scholarship.  Afterwards he wants to be a chaplain in a hospital, counsel transgender youth and start a church for society's outcasts. ALL WE NEED IS LOVE...AND $8000      P.J. is the most compassionate, giving person I know. We don't have much money, obviously, but he would give a stranger the shirt off his back. Actually, he tried to to do that once. If you help him anyway you can, I promise it will not be wasted and will be an investment that will  be paid forward for many years.  Your support means the world to us.
