Hi my name is Valerie Peter and i am a trans woman from Malaysia. I used to work as an environmental conservationist after i graduated from a local university but then was let go when i came out as a trans woman (was working for them for 6 years before being let go). Since then i was having a hard time finding employment. Then recently, i got hit with a legal letter from my student loan body that they had discontinued my loan period and ordered me to settle my student loan a lump sum of RM27,000 (USD6218.33). I went to negotiate with them but to no avail and said if i even think of bringing this matter to court, people like me (transgender) will never win since i am a disgraced to human being. They made it worse by barring me from getting out of the country which my other and perhaps best option of finding employment (was getting a job offered in Singapore when i found out i was not allowed to get out of the country because of my loan) Thus, to all kindhearted people out there, i hope i will be able to raise this amount so i can settle my debt and get out of this country for a better employment and maybe future since i am out of luck and no future in my country. god bless to all of you.
