Trans Role Model Volunteer

Who is he?: Smart, well adjusted, kind 19 year old transgender college student living and attending school in NYC. The child of a lesbian mom looking for an opportunity to help others, develop a new support network and help others to understand what it means to be transgender. He has already spoken at trainings for child protection workers on transgender topics in an effort to help them better serve transgender children and teens in foster care. The Goal: Volunteer as a counselor for a week at LGBTQ Family Week in P-town in August of 2013. The Need: $600 to replace salary to pay the rent on his off campus apartment ( no dorms for sophomores), travel expenses and a small amount of spending money for the week. Ash has already spent many hours working on his presentation for COLAGE. He is so excited that this trip may be possible. Please help to make his hope a reality.
