Trafigura: Fundraising for Dignity Kitchen Scholarship Programme

Thank you for taking the time to visit this page. 20 Runners from our Trafigura (Singapore) office will take part in the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge (5.63km) Run on 26th April 2018 at 5:30pm. They are running in aid of Dignity Kitchen, Trafigura’s nominated charity since 2017 and we welcome your support to help fundraise $6,000 for this worthwhile cause.

Established in 2010, Dignity Kitchen is a local charity which runs a Hawker Centre Training School to train and support disabled and disadvantaged people with the aim of reintegrating them into society. The meals at the kitchen are prepared by those with an array of impairments such as mobility, hearing, visual, cognitive and psychological. Meals are also sold at a discounted price to the elderlies who live around the area. Since inception, Dignity Kitchen has fed over 40,000 elderly and trained over 300 trainees who went into professional roles. Trafigura has been supporting this noble cause through sponsoring the meals, providing financial assistance, and creating engagement opportunities for our staffs to promote social inclusion and diversity.

Their mission is “To build and return the dignity to the disadvantaged and disabled through vocation with passion“.

This year, funds raised will be used to support the inaugural Trafigura Scholarship Programme for disadvantaged or disabled individuals. The scholarship will fund deserving individuals through Dignity Kitchen's training, with the aim of helping them to secure full time employment.
