Tracy’s War on Stage IV Lung Cancer

On 6 October, my dear friend of 25 years and artjamming business partner of 20 years, Tracy (Wong Oi Ting) was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer. Thanks to the quick response of our very dear friend Dr Emily, who came to the artjamming studio to paint and then guided her to get compassionate, expert health care. Sadly artjamming (Meli-Melo Limited) only has a basic medical plan which only scarcely covers what Tracy's up against.

Let's talk war plan. Right now this campaign addresses what Tracy needs and separately Tracy's story details will be on FB and will gradually be shared for the many friends and loyal artjamming customers who support her at this very very critcal time for her treatment. Let's act quickly.

Tracy Needs Funds for Immunotherapy, Oxygen and Holistic Treatment

Currently Tracy is registered as an out-patient at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Yaumatei, Hong Kong. She underwent her first chemo (Carboplatin + Premetrexed) + target drug (Pembrolizumab, see Keytruda) on 29 October 2020. Her second immunotherapy treatment is on 17 November. Some of her treatment plan is subsidized by the Hong Kong government with the notable exception of Pembrolizumab. Tracy will apply for subsidy from the Samaritan Fund shortly but this will take at least 4 weeks to approve and we do not know yet how much the subsidy will be. Currently one "shot" of Pembrolizumab is HK$39,600 (see invoice below), which will happen every 3 weeks until doctors see a change OR don't.

Also due to the tumor's location, Tracy has difficulty breathing. Home and portable breathing equipment has been rented. The goal is to get her a portable oxygen concentrator which costs in the neighbourhood of HK$50,000 to allow her to move around more freely, when she is able to do so.

The miraculous world of holistic treatment is also part of Tracy's War. She's scheduled to have CST and other therapies to relieve her anxieties and mentally strengthen her as she faces her tough journey ahead. Sessions range from HK$1000-2000.

Tracy's War Chest

This fund raising campaign is targeting the first year of Tracy's exceptionally expensive care. For this long marathon, we conservatively estimate no less than HK$500000 is needed. Tracy's goal is returning to artjamming and in time, returning to her happy life. Which naturally includes seeing BTS on their next world tour, flying to Seoul and Toronto (we have tickets for two nights of the shows cancelled in May due to Covid-19). Tracy is 1000% a #BTSARMY. And as much as #BTS is an emotional boost for her, she will need more help to get ahead of this.

Tracy is truly grateful to her friends and supporters acting as her #ARMY in her fight against this treacherous cancer. For those who know her, I am the creative side of artjamming and Tracy is the charming personable side. Tracy is so young at heart and she fills her life with only happy thoughts and experiences and spreads her infectious child-like joy with everyone she meets. Tracy's close friends and her soul-sisters cannot let her gentle spirit be crushed so soon. She has every bit the fight in her to prolong her life with your love and support.
