Tracy Fass Cremation Fund

I am hosting this Fundraiser on behalf of the late Tracy Fass, who sadly passed away on November 30th 2013, and of whom is my mother and the late wife of my father, Gary Fass. Some of you may have known her over the years as DJ Kayleigh, owner of Night of the Fallen Angel Radio and also a former band manager. Despite her hard work im the music industry, Tracy had suffered Multiple Sclerosis as well as at Thyroid Cancer. She was officially fully cleared of Thyroid Cancer late last year, to which was a hard hurdle to have overcome given the temperament of her MS. Nonetheless, she pressed on and had begun to work on hosting a Charity event to raise money in order to help raise awareness of Neurological Disorders. This idea has since become the Tracy Fass Foundation, which can be found on Facebook. Tracy had spent her entire life being a compassionate and giving person, so I hope and deep down I even pray that we can find a sense of solace within what has taken place in all sense of respect to the amazing woman who was and is my Mum. The reason to why this Fundraiser came to be is because after having been my Mother's carer for over half a decade, and having been married to my Mother for 25 years, my Father has been declined a Funeral Grant as well as any help with bereavement from the Department of Work and Pensions on the merit that they had claimed "it was a broken marriage and he was only her carer, not a direct relative". I write this all with a heavy heart as this is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do, but we need all of the help and support we can get right now. The Government has turned a blind eye towards a Father and Husband who has worked from morning until night to care for his own wife, and has sacrificed many sleepless nights since her passing stressing about trying to make everything right. The actions of the DWP and the Government have been no less than disgraceful towards us. This has left us in a state in which we need whatever help we can get, so if anyone out there is able to help us, we would be very grateful as we just want to give my Mother the justice she deserves and be able to pay off for her beautiful cremation to which took place in December. The Funeral Directors have been wonderful and supportive given our circumstances, but even they deserve more respect than they have received from the DWP about this matter.
