Toys, clothes and foods for the kids of Thailand

Hi, my name is Jess. Richard, my boyfriend, & I will be heading to Thailand early January next year. Thailand is such a beautiful country and one of my favourite places would have to be Chiang Mai. For Richard, this will be his first time there.

Although Chiang Mai is so beautiful, it's hard to overlook the children or families that struggle to live on a daily basis. Especially the children who have been abandoned. Our main goal is to gather as much donation money as possible to help a country with kids that do not have much. We hope to buy the children some clothes, toys, books or even give them something as simple as a nice meal, because unlike most of us that take things for granted these little things will help brighten up their day. The expenses of our trip to Thailand have already been paid for with our own finances, so every single cent donated will go towards the items we will buy for the children.

We have two orphanages in mind at the moment, Agape home and Baan KingKaew orphanage. Agape home specialises with children that have HIV/AIDS. While, Baan KingKaew orphanage provides a home for children between the ages of 6months - 6 years old. We will also go be giving families we see struggling some money, food, toys, clothes, etc. 

So, here's your chance to give something back to this beautiful country and to the amazing people living there. We will take plenty of photos of our meetings with the children, as we hope to spend a couple of days with them, and post them up (or even email them to you) so you can see how big of a difference your contribution made in the children's lives. We're not expecting to change the world, we just want to brighten up some children's day or week (:
