When I was young I set aside my passion for martial arts in favor of my love of country. After completing a tour of duty in Afghanistan however I came back with chronic pain and some other issues. Nine months of searching for a different approach and a new motivation left me feeling incredably low. As I tried to adjust to truly coming home I ran across my former martial arts instructor and decided to return to the studio in hopes of finding myself again. After four months, nearing five, of increasing training with the master I've found not only a new purpose, but have regained some of my lost fitness from treatment. I hope to reach out to fellow veterans, and to young people from low income areas and help them find their own martial arts spirit

My goal is to continue this journey and to become a black belt instructor. I want to reach out and help others improve their health and fitness but first I need to walk in the shoes all students must walk. In my case this will be my first tournament for the studio, but I'll be in good company as I have been training with Master Shin and sparring with his black belts on a regular basis.

Please help me get this goal off the ground, I'll truly appreciate any small amount of help provided. I thank you for the time taken to read this, and hope you'll see it in your heart to help.
