Hey guys. On June 14th I shall be enduring Tough Mudder with the aim of raising funds for a young lady by the name of Isabella 'Bella' Rennie. For those of you who don't know whom this little angel is I have wrote a bit below to help you understand why she deserves your support. Bella is a young girl who is friends with my little girl Charlotte and where even in the same class at play group last year. Weeks before her 2nd birthday she was diagnosed with a brain tumour which obviously changed her families life forever. Previously Bella had been a healthy girl however had developed a head tilt over time but the GP was satisfied then that there was nothing to worry about. Towards the end of her first year Bella started to display facial asymmetry and was having trouble closing her left eye as well as developing slurred speech. On January 11th following an MRI scan Bella was diagnosed. As you can imagine it was not a nice thing for her to go through and made her quite unhappy and on 23rd January underwent 7 hours of surgery. The neurosurgeon amazingly managed to resect 70% of the tumour! Any more would have left little Bella severely disabled. With this surgery a number of complications followed ranging from Hydrocephalus (which resulted in more surgeries), being unable to walk unsupported or eat properly and requires a tube feed overnight. Physio is a must at least twice a day and oxygen every night while she sleeps due to long pauses in her breathing. Unfortunately Bella had developed a further tumour on her spinal cord and required chemotherapy which started in the June. Because of this she has had to spend many days and nights in Hospital. At an MRI in the January following this her consultant advised her parents that the tumours are still static and that the chemo will not cure it and that a visit to the USA for proton beam therapy is her main hope of a cure. This little girl is actually amazing! Regardless of what she has been through, every time I have seen her she has always been smiling and her personality shines through. I don't expect massive donations and just want to help this courageous family in any way I can and ask that you give what you can and even if you can't donate then please just leave a comment on Facebook with some form of words of encouragement for me to get through Tough Mudder in one piece given what my own health has gone through and still is. I just feel this little girl has gone through more and has so much more to go through that she needs all the help she can get. Thanks guys
