Toto and Stephanie Wedding

We have decided to have our wedding in the city where we first met, Chiang Rai Thailand. Our wedding day will be on December 28, 2013, a few weeks after the DTS graduation (Toto is co-leading this DTS and the team is his students). Our dream wedding is a wedding where people that very dear to our hearts, close friends and family will gather together and celebrate it with us. And we would like to embrace this time and really enjoy it because we will move out from Thailand not long after our wedding.

 

As we're planning and preparing for our wedding, there are few things that we would like you to pray for.

 

We came from 2 different countries and cultures; Thailand and Indonesia, so as much as we want to have a Christ-centered wedding, there are few things that we need to consider to do. And one of it is bride price. Toto have to pay some amount of bride price to Stephanie's family. It is very important and Toto have to do it before he marry Stephanie. And the amount is not little for us.

 

Here, we would like to ask your prayers and support. As a full-time missionary, both of us 100% fully trusting God for all the finances for our wedding. We decided to help each other to raise fund. So there is no "which-side-pays-for-the-wedding" stuff, both of us will work and do our best to raise the fund and pay the bills. We are trying to do our best, so far we have sent our newsletter, talking and sharing to family and friends, making this website and soon we will make a video.. Yes, we are trying to do our best and let God do the rest.

 

And God's part can come through you. Yes, you! You can take part and help us to make our wedding come true. It probably sounds so cliche for you, but yes humbly we are asking you to help us. A lot of other brides and grooms will make a list of their wedding registry, a list of gifts that the guest can give to them.. we're not doing that since we are moving out from Thailand soon after our wedding, we can't take a lot of stuff with us.

 

So instead of wedding registry, we are doing a wedding fundraiser. Yes, wedding fundraiser!

We have to raise about US$10,000 for our wedding; that amount covers the bride price and all the big and small stuff for the wedding (from venue to food to decorations, everything!). Up until now we have about US$300.. Praise the Lord!
