A tornado ravaged three villages and one kelurahan in Bandung Regency on Friday (1/11/2019) afternoon.

After the preliminary data showed that around 150 houses were damaged and dozens of people were injured in three villages, the number of victims and damage continued to increase.

"Preliminary data collected by the Bandung Regency BPBD had a tornado impact of 1 person seriously injured, 15 people were lightly injured, 15 houses were severely damaged, 71 houses were slightly damaged and more than 300 damaged houses that have not been classified as damage levels. Estimated damage to houses and buildings "the data collection is still ongoing," said BNPB Head of Information and Public Relations Center, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, through a written statement on Friday.

A tornado disaster struck Jelegong Village, Rancaekek District, Bandung Regency, West Java, around 3:15 a.m. WIB. A tornado caused damaged houses and fallen trees.



"Areas that suffered damage included Perum Rancaekek Kencana Blok 16 RT 16 / RW 08 Jelegong Village, Rancaekek District, and several other housing estates. Many roofs were flown by tornadoes,"

According to him, the Bandung Regency BPBD is still carrying out data collection. The installation of refugee tents by the TNI and Brimob of the West Java Regional Police was established to accommodate some of the displaced people. Tagana, BPBD and volunteers help refugees. The electricity condition is still out.

"The urgent need now is temporary refugee tents, tarpaulins, lighting equipment, food and clean water.
