Campaign Story
Dear friends!
Please allow me to take this opportunity to tell you a story about my dear younger brother - Arsenii Kim. Arsenii is hard working young man, who came from Uzbekistan to South Korea on December 15th, 2018 to pursue his dream, get a better job, provide for his family and give his children an opportunity for better life.
Just about 2 months after arriving to his historical motherland, his life altered - he had an unfortunate accident at home. It happened on February 23rd. As a result of the accident, Arsenii had a severe laceration in his right arm with damaged muscles, tendons, ligaments and blood vessels. He also lost a lot of blood on that day. He was taken to a local hospital in Seoul, where he had a 8 hour surgery. He still remains hospitalized until today and his doctor said that the possibility of full recovery for him was only about 50%. His treatment includes the surgery and a long rehabilitation.
Unfortunately, according to the local health care regulations, Arsenii is not eligible for health care insurance ( health care insurance for foreigners and overseas Koreans in South Korea kicks in only after 6 months from the date of arrival and registration in the country). As of now the medical bill 23,418,075 KRW, which is approximately $20,615.
Due to not having health care insurance, we are raising money on Arsenii's behalf to cover the cost of the medical bill, which, unfortunately, we can't pay by ourselves. Any contribution made to Arsenii will be extremely important for Arsenii's recovery and greatly appreciated.
Best Regards,
Denis Kim
