Comunidad Nuevo Israel/ Comunidad 10 de octubre San Salvador

The Tropical storm Amanda was the second stuck in a short time for the inhabitants of the Comunidad Nuevo Israel and Comunidad 10 de octubre of San Salvador. Families that mostly get their incomes from informal jobs have been left without it due to the restrictions to face the coronavirus pandemic.

Due to the flooding caused by the river and landslides hundreds of homes had been destroyed increasing the needs and vulnerabilities of families who have been left homeless, without their belongings.

The most urgent needs for affected families in these communities are clean water, hygiene supplies and personal protection to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among other diseases, food, clothing, blankets and safe spaces for their protection.


Who We Are
We are a group of inhabitants of the community, with affected families who in the midst of need have come together to collect aid and provide it to families who have been left homeless. We believe that after the storm has passed, it is the right time to support because this is where these families are forgotten

Our goal
-Our goal is to raise $5,000 which helps families in need in Comunidad Nuevo Israel and Comunidad 10 de Octubre, San Salvador.

-Every $25 raised feeds a family for a week.

La Tormenta Tropical Amanda ha sido el segundo golpe en poco tiempo para los habitantes de la Comunidad Nuevo Israel y Comunidad 10 de octubre de San Salvador. Familias que en su mayoría viven de trabajos informales, se habían quedado sin ingresos por las restricciones para enfrentar la pandemia del coronavirus.

Debido a las inundaciones causadas por el río y los deslizamientos de tierra, cientos de hogares fueron destruidos, lo que aumentó las necesidades y vulnerabilidades de las familias que se quedaron sin hogar, sin sus pertenencias.

Las necesidades más urgentes para las familias afectadas en estas comunidades son agua limpia, suministros de higiene y protección personal para evitar la propagación de COVID-19 entre otras enfermedades, alimentos, ropa, mantas y espacios seguros para su protección.

Quienes somos

Somos un grupo de habitantes de la comunidad, con familias afectadas que, en medio de la necesidad, se han unido para recolectar ayuda y proporcionarla a familias que han quedado sin hogar. Creemos que después de que ha pasado la tormenta, es el momento adecuado para apoyar porque aquí es donde estas familias son olvidadas.


Nuestra meta

-Nuestro objetivo es recaudar $5,000 que ayuda a familias necesitadas en la Comunidad Nuevo Israel y la Comunidad 10 de Octubre, San Salvador.



-Cada $ 25 recaudados alimenta a una familia por una semana
