I live my life in the completeness of spontaneity. In total trust of deep intuition. A path of letting go of all fear, false belief systems, in accepting the truth that everything is possible at the right moment, with the right effort and the grace of Universe.
Why waiting until tomorrow if you get today? Today ’m already complete, but tomorrow I don’t know because i’m carring the familial ALS-gene (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). The disease can ‘explode’ one day, or also not. My father is ALS-patient, already in a wheelchair and paralysed.
I’m Michaël Bodhi (32 years – Belgium), a year ago I took a sabbatical year to travel. I’m now in Borneo. Two days ago I climbed Mountain Gunung Kinabalu (4095 meter). Once back in the mountain hut I saw a picture on the wall from a man on the top of the mount Everest. Immediately after two participants asked me ‘what is your next mountain’. I answered without doubt: Mount Everest (8850 m). It was the voice of my heart speaking.
I want to climb the highest mountain now, because tomorrow I don't know. I want to climb to bring ALS in the spotlight.
The price for climbing Mount Everest is far above my budget, but I believe everything is possible if you really want it: Living in fullness of life - On the top of the world.
To give an idea about the money that I need for the climb:
- Climbing Permit Nepal : $11,000
- Climbing gear (boots, oxygen mask, clothing layers, sleeping bags, …) : $ 8000
- Logistics (guide, food, cook, porter …): $ 35,000
- Insurance, flight ticket, …
In total I will need around $ 55,000.
It would be also an opportunity to give one part to the ALS Liga in Belgium.
You have to climb Everest between March and Mai, so I have 3 months left.
If you believe in me, I can make it happen!
Thank you already for your time
