Top 32 Festive soccer tournament

Mpfuneto Youth Development is raising funds to host the Top 32 Festive Soccer Tournament in December 2020. The tournament is to bring all 32 soccer teams in one spotlight in the rural community of Matiko-Xikaya in Lulekani, the event is aimed on supporting rural talent in sports and development young talent in order to restore hope. The soccer tournament is most focused on senior youth players. The programme will encourage upcoming teams and amateur players to gain confidence on their soccer talent, and it is aimed on empowering the disadvantaged teams in the rural villages. The tournament will award three prizes to the winning teams and also best players of the tournament. The funds raised is planned to purchase soccer kit, soccer boots, Training bibs, medals and trophies for the Top 32 Festive Soccer Tournament. The first position will be awarded full soccer kit, Soccer boots, Gold medals and trophy. The second position will be awarded full soccer kit and Silver medals. The third position will be awarded Training Bibs and Bronze medals. Then the best player and goalkeeper of the tournament will be awarded with medals and trophies. It is with the interest of the organization that young people in sports supported and motivated for the better future in the rural communities. Mpfuneto Youth Development needs to raise R30 000 in order to execute this programme. The tournament is also planned to keep children and youth away from streets during the festive season, keep youth involved in sports to avoid substance abuse by young people, to ensure safety in the society and fight crime.
