This project consists in donating school materials to a school in Guinea Bissau and for that, I would appreciate your help!
This idea started back in 2015 when I went to Guinea Bissau for a month to visit my father who used to work there. While I was there, I had the opportunity to visit the interior of the country. I visited many deprived villages where accessing education is very difficult, since most of the children are still forced to work so they can support their families. I felt compelled to help these communities.
I would like to support "The Institute of the Oblate Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus", an organization of international nuns and priests in Guinea Bissau, who dedicate their lives to educating children in poor countries all around the world.
During my month in Guinea Bissau, I had the possibility to meet some of the local managers of this association. I truly believe that the work achieved by this association is extraordinary. They run schools, nurseries and they even have a centre that cures young people with nutrition diseases.
I will use these funds by purchasing school material for the association and then I will go to Guinea Bissau hopefully in December 2019 if I am able to fundraise £1500.
I will be very grateful if you could help make this happen and all donations will be very helpful.
