Dear loyal customers and friends,

The past few weeks have been devastating on the restaurant industry and has deeply affected our store. We understand the dire straits which COVID 19 has placed on our country and respect the President’s decision of lockdown in SA. However this has become a stressful and tragic time for our staff, who rely on their salaries and tips to survive each month.

We are in uncertain times, being affected in the first line of COVID19 legislations. The Initial regulations, of having no more than 50 people per store including staff and customers, came into-affect two weeks prior to the lockdown. We do not know when we will get to re-open to full capacity, and be able to have our full team of staff return to their second home, their workplace.

We are trying to keep the business alive so that all our approx. 80 odd staff can have their regular jobs to return to, and their lives return to normal after the devastating pandemic.

Tony’s Spaghetti Grill has been going for over 19 years and we are sure many customers can recall some of our frontline staff by their first names, and have fond memories of dining t the restaurant. Sadly many of our customers never get to know the people behind the scenes, who also show up every day, those that work in the Kitchen preparing the meals, ensuring a complete experience.

So we need your HELP

We request that you donate any value towards our staff. Any donation which is received will go directly to our staff so they we are able to assist them during this pandemic. We have tried to assist with food packages, however legislation is not allowing for just anyone to donate food packages and it seems the authorised organisations are battling to deal with each and everyone’s plea for assistance.

So our next idea was to raise funds and distribute weekly between the staff.

We will be running a Meet the Team campaign on our social media pages, which will enable you to get to know our staff behind the scenes. To know who you are helping and donating towards. Who will have a little less stress week to week knowing they have a small contribution to keep themselves going.

Every rand donated will go to helping our team.

If you are not in a position to donate, please share this post.

For any donation received, we will give back to our community.
