Te contamos un poco de su historia:

- El 3 de Junio del 2019, Paulina Valezzi fue diagnosticada con Cáncer de Mama Triple Negativo en fase IV con metástasis en axila.

- Pau recibió tratamiento de quimioterapia y radioterapia, lo cual tomó un año de su vida.

- Su cuerpo hoy se ha regenerado de los tratamientos por lo que es necesario continuar con el siguiente paso para evitar un diagnóstico contralateral.

Triple Negativo es un tipo de Cancer de Mama de un perfil más agresivo, con crecimiento rápido y supone sólo entre el 15 y el 20 % de los casos. Está muy relacionado con alteraciones genéticas y en el caso específico de Pau se presenta una mutación con BRCA1 positivo.

En pocas palabras el BRCA1 aumenta el riesgo de otros tipos de cáncer y esto aumenta con el tiempo transcurrido desde el primer diagnóstico de cáncer.

A pesar de que Paulina lleva meses retomando su vida con hábitos de alimentación distintos y mejoras de salud, ella busca disminuir al máximo el porcentaje de riesgo que los médicos señalan

Paulina no cuenta con seguro de gastos médicos mayores y ha logrado salir adelante con ayuda de fundaciones y el gran apoyo de amigos y familiares.

Actualmente vive en la Ciudad de México y tiene 38 años de edad. Disfruta de hacer yoga y meditar, es voluntaria de redes sociales en una fundación de rescate animal y afirma que su misión de vida es dejar huellas bonitas en el mundo a través de ayudar a los demás. It is time to start the last phase of Paulina's cancer treatment in order to reduce an 80% risk of relapse. She is my sister.

On June 3 2019, Paulina Valezzi was diagnosed with Phase IV Triple-Negative Breast Cancer with metastases in the armpit. Pau received chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment, which lasted a year of her life.

Now that her body has regenerated from the mentioned treatments, it is necessary to proceed with the next step in order to avoid a contralateral diagnosis.

Triple Negative is a type of ABC (Advanced Breast Cancer) with a more aggressive profile, with rapid growth and one that comes about in only 15 to 20% of cases. It is closely related to genetic alterations; in the specific case of Pau there is a BRCA1 (Breast Cancer type 1) positive mutation.

Simply put, BRCA1 increases the risk of other types of cancer. Consequently, the risk also increases with the time elapsed since the first cancer diagnosis.

Even though Paulina has been resuming her life for months now with different eating habits and important health improvements, she is seeking to reduce (as much as possible) the percentage of risk indicated by the doctors.

Paulina does not have major medical expense insurance and has managed to get ahead with the help of foundations and the great support from family and friends.

She currently lives in Mexico City and is 38 years old. She enjoys doing yoga and meditating; she is a social media volunteer at an animal rescue foundation and assures that her life mission is to leave beautiful footprints in the world through helping others.
