Toby’s Timband

Hi those who know us know we wouldn't ask for help if we didn't need it. our little man Toby has been assessed today at a private clinic for a consultation about his misshaped skull.

The results were that he has brachycephaly and plagiocephaly. These effect the way Toby's skull forms. Toby is at the higher end of the scale with both conditions. moderate cases of Brachycephaly has a percentage rate of 75% upto 82% and Toby's is 104%. Toby is 19mm for Plagiocephaly which on moderate is 7-12mm.

Toby can get a helmet which will help reshape his skull so it formsto a more normal shape again and will correct the flat part of his skull and his ear pushing out. The NHS do not fund the treatment as they believe there is no evidence that it does work, however we have looked into it and there are a lot of children who have benefited from having the helmet. So we need help raising funds for a special helmet which will help correct his skull. it costs £1950 for the helmet so as much as we can raise towards it we would be very grateful. Thank you everyone for any support or donations even the smallest amount will go along way.
