"Music is the greatest communication in the world. Even if people don't understand the language that you're singing in, they still know good music when they hear it." Lou Rawls

Our man, Wilson lives in a dim and gritty London. One day coming back from work he finds out a girl is moving in next door. Sophie is a musician and as the days go by he likes her more and more. Wilson is too shy to approach her, he gets lost in his dreams listening to her music, although he doesn't reveal his feelings to her. He finally breaks through and he will be able to communicate with Sophie without actually meeting her. They will accomplish their render-vous only with and through music.

Rendez-vous explores the themes of alienation and loneliness and the need for human contact. As human beings, we are a part of nature and it seems the older we get, the more detached we get from it. Because of this, I feel we are destroying our purest characteristics: feelings, art, creativity; everything seems to disappear under the oppression of style of life that brings us to live an isolated life. We aim to also touch on the overconsumption of media, which is a big debate today. We are overwhelmed by images as never before, products made in no time that are similar to each other. We are bombarded with so many images that one’s imagination has no use to exist anymore. Everything is provided, everything is supplied. Wilson lives in a similar context where all these themes are brought on to the screen. The only resolution for Wilson to overcome the consequences of this way of life is to go back to a pure way of communication: music.

We, team of students and professionals who decided to get on board with this project, who decided to get on board with this project because of the visual power of the story and the passion of its director. Three weeks ago we started with a Kickstarter campaign in order to help raise the funds for the film. With your help and trust in what we do we raised up to 835£.

Now new campaign is coming up and we are kindly asking your help to make this whole powerful project come true. The money from this fundraise will go to help support the cost of the whole post-production: editing, grading, sound, design and recording the music in a studio in London.
