The situation for the stray dogs and cats of the UAE is indeed very difficult. homeless dogs are roaming the streets, and who knows how many cats...animal activists go out every night to feed and help the animals. The number of stray animals increases every day
Many of those who try to feed the animals are elderly people that just love animals and wants to help them as much as they can, not animal activists. The animal activists are usually aware of these animal lovers and give them the dog and cat food they have received through donations. Everyone is in this together and everything that is collected - be it food, medication (like Frontline, vaseline, antibiotics etc.) or blankets, are shared and dispersed among everyone.
Found Cats and dogs will be sent to Vets and hospitals to get treated and will try and find a home for them.
Funds will be sent to the activists as it comes in, so whatever total you see available, will have been sent and used, so this is an ongoing fundraiser.
