I’ve been in the film industry for over 35 years. My feature films, documentaries, television projects and short films have won multiple awards but one of the achievements I’m most proud of is that I took up skating at age 50, (crazy I know). Several years and many, MANY bruises later I won a gold medal at an international competition in Vancouver in 2016.

Now I’m making an inspirational documentary film following a group of skaters (age 46-78) as they pursue their dream of competing in the biggest event on the adult figure skating calendar. They are headed “To The Worlds” in Germany in May 2018.

We’ve made a teaser-trailer for the film. Please check it out above or at http://www.totheworlds.ca/

To date, this has been a self-financed endeavor (passion project) but well… we’ve run out of money. This campaign is to help us continue filming this intrepid group as they prepare physically and mentally for the biggest challenge of their lives.

We are a hardworking professional team of top-notch filmmakers, directors, camera and sound people. Your contributions will go directly towards expensive film equipment rentals and the hundreds of hours of filming necessary to capture the special and real moments that are both funny and moving. Contributions will also enable our film-crew to travel (from Canada) to Oberstdorf for 2 weeks to cover the week leading up to the competition and the competition itself…where I’m sure more laughter and tears will ensue.

When completed, the film will travel the festival circuit and be internationally broadcast. This is a feel-good, uplifting film about dreams and second chances and will appeal to audiences around the globe.

Thank you for considering joining our team to make “To The Worlds” a reality, “You’re never too old to dream”. Ind

  • I LOVE the trailer for the documentary and wish you and the rest of the ladies nothing but success at the World Championships! I'm an adult figure skater myself (in Nashville) and could identify with everything I've seen thus far. Well, except the good backspins. Backspins and I are not friends.
