<< Would you consider partnering with us on this upcoming Mission Trip to Greece? >> 🇬🇷

We are raising the funds to cover our expenses for the upcoming Mission Trip. The funds raised will cover the costs for our flights, visa's, ferries, fuel, accommodation and living costs. The amount is an estimate, since we are yet to finalise things for the final two weeks in Athens. However, we are trying to keep the costs as low as possible.

When:

We are planning to leave South Africa the 12th of June 2019 and will return back to South Africa the 10th of August 2019.

Why:

Our hearts are to serve, learn and empower the people of Greece. While responding to a cry for help from the church in Greece - 'the same way Paul responded to the Macedonian Call in Acts 16: 9-10.' Therefore, we are seeking to serve the Greek community in love and reconciliation through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We belief the impact is two fold. Firstly, we are going to serve and learn from the Greek community - where we will bring what we have learned from the local ministries back to South Africa and use it in a way that is applicable in our context with regards to community development.

Secondly, we are trusting that the Greek community will be impacted through our love, care and knowledge shared with them, through partnering with the local ministries. Our hearts are to see the community use what God has given them - together with the power of the Holy Spirit and to make and impact in their own communities and the people around them - where we will be more than willing to help and train those who need it.

The Outline of The Trip:

The first two weeks we will spend our time in Crete to serve a ministry called, Anamnisi (Ανάμνηση Χανιά) who’s involved with the refugees in their area. They create a safe space where they can come and wash their clothes, take a hot shower and have a nice cup of coffee while they are encouraged and loved by those who run this ministry.

Thereafter, we will partner with a ministry called, Operation Joshua (2 – 11 July), where we will participate in distributing modern translated Greek bibles to 100 000 homes around the Ionian Coast, North of Athens. We belief that all people need to have access to a Bible that they can understand in the language that they have been raised in.

The last two weeks still need to be finalized, but we will be involved in partnership with local ministries within the City of Athens.
